Coneflower Fused Glass and Enamel Earrings in Dusty Blue and Purple

All fused glass pieces are crafted in Gatlinburg, Tennessee by artist Kimberly Bylo. These beautiful coneflower earrings started with the artist creating a multicolored piece of glass where they use a kiln to melt the flower colors into the background layer of glass. A seamless piece of glass with multiple colors is created at around 1450 degrees. Once the glass pieces were made and shaped Kimberly painted the petals and other details with an enamel. The earrings are then fired a second time to set the enamel on the glass like a permanent glaze.
