Spring Green Fused Glass Drop Earrings

All fused glass pieces are crafted in Gatlinburg, Tennessee by artist Kimberly Bylo. Through a process of mashing and sifting different colors of glass, Kimberly created a custom frit blend. Frit is essentially small chunks or chips of glass that can range from course to very fine pieces, even powder. Once the frit blend was created, the artist melted the blend of glass into a long bar. After this multicolored bar was created, it was then cut into various shapes and sizes. A polish fusing cycle finishes the glass pieces into something almost ready to wear.
